SharpShooters USA hosts competitive shooting events every Monday at 6:30pm (excluding holidays). First time participants must attend a mandatory new shooter briefing at 6:00pm. These events provide an opportunity for shooters to practice firearms fundamentals in a fun and competitive environment under the watchful eye of safety officers. Shooters from beginner to advanced are welcome and participate weekly. Drawing from a holster, shooting from behind cover, and shooting while moving are just a few of the skills shooters exercise at these events.
Match Fees are $15 per shooter; $12 for Members, Ladies and Youth (ages 12-17). Match Registration is Limited to 32 total shooters. If registration is full, a wait list will be implemented.
As with any activity involving firearms, safety is priority one. We want everyone to have a great time, but we must do so safely. Colonel Jeff Cooper has created the 4 basic firearm safety rules:
1.) All guns are always loaded.
2.) Never point your muzzle at anything you are not willing to destroy.
3.) Keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are on the target.
4.) Identify your target, and what is behind it.
If these simple rules are always followed, most firearms accidents would never happen. It is the competitor’s responsibility to read and understand the rules set forth and agree to be subject to these rules while participating in any SharpShooters USA Competition event.

Our current match format schedule is as follows:
First Monday of the Month: IDPA
All other Mondays: GADPA
At the moment, we shoot two different sports and there are differences between them. You can read about it in their respective rule books, but for the most part, you need to bring the following equipment if you would like to participate in either:
1. A safe, reliable handgun (we recommend 9mm, .40SW, or .45 ACP in caliber).
2. A holster for your handgun.
3. At least three (3) magazines for your handgun.
4. At least two (2) magazine carriers.
5. One-Hundred (100) rounds of ammunition.
6. Concealment Garment (usually a jacket or a vest).
We score all of our matches using PractiScore and highly encourage shooters to pre-register. Match registration is limited to 32 total shooters. If registration is full, a wait list will be implemented.
On a typical match night, we try sticking to the following itinerary:
5:30pm: Match Setup begins. Volunteering is encouraged!!
5:30pm: Online Pre-Registration Closes and Walk-up Registration Opens for those that did not pre-register online.
6pm: Walk-up Registration Closes.
6pm: New Shooter Briefing. This is MANDATORY for first time participants. New shooters must have their GADPA waiver filled out, and in hand (or have submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org) BEFORE the 6pm new shooter briefing. The GADPA Waiver can be generated by completing the form here, downloading and printing. If no new shooters are ready at 6pm, there will NOT be a briefing.
6:30pm: Announcements and Roll Call for Squads
8:45ish: Tear Down and Clean Up. Volunteering is encouraged!!
